Valve Spring Installed Height Measuring Tool

YES- This tool have been customized to fit SBC Vortec heads as well as SB Ford heads w/ .481" tip length exhaust valves. (GT40, GT40P, E7 etc)

Unlike other popular installed height measuring tools, these come with an insert-able steel adapter ring which allows the tool to be used with small retainers such as beehive and other small outside diameter retainers.

Valve spring installed height mics measure from End to End on the outside of the tool. Retainers are not supposed to fit inside the tools counter bore. 

To measure a small retainer application, just drop the adapter ring inside the tool and use it in the normal fashion. The ring will sit at the same height as the tool and will produce accurate readings.

If you're going to take measurements using larger retainers, use the tool without the adapter ring.
