These seals are manufactured from all Nylon.

They were used by GM on many of their SB Chevy engines in the 80's.

As a way to reduce oil consumption, these can also be added to earlier engines which only have o-ring seals.

Can also be used as an universal umbrella seal providing adequate clearances exist.
