Note 1: The majority of the companies who manufacture single piece pushrods use the "Gauge Point" method of measurement. Gauge Point measuring is done on a fixture at the factory which contacts the pushrod on the radius of the pushrod ends and not "tip to tip" as what one might do using a pair of calipers. They use this method because measuring via gauge point is not affected by the chamfer/oil hole diameter while measuring end to end is. For this reason, end to end measurements are always slightly longer than the gauge point specification etched on the pushrod. As a result of using the gauge point method, end to end measurements are commonly between .010"-.018" longer than the advertised length.
