Valve spring installed height mics measure from End to End on the outside of the tool.

Fits Std retainers in the 1.300"-1.625" OD range. (not for beehive or OE Ford 2 piece retainers) See note below.

Note: This mic will not work on beehive retainers or Ford OE two piece retainers such as used on FE Ford and many SBF on the intake position. If you need a Mic for small diameter retainers such as beehive and most SBC applications, check our other listings for details. I do not believe anyone makes a mic which works with Ford two piece retainers so measuring those will need to be done in another way.
